    Common requests include flat tires, jump starts, overheating checks, borrowing specialty tools, and coordinating a tow to a shop or safe location. If it's something else, describe your issue and nearby heroes can decide if they can help.

  • Is Pitstop Hero a replacement for emergency services?

    No. If you're in danger, injured, or blocking traffic, call your local emergency number first. Pitstop Hero is for getting a hand from the community with non-emergency car trouble.

  • How do I pay or say thanks?

    You thank your hero with Car Karma, which you earn by helping others, or with a bounty you set when you request help. You can also leave a rating and a note.

  • Can I become a hero?

    Yes. Apply in the app, complete verification, and choose the kinds of help you can offer and the gear you carry. You'll earn Car Karma and bounties for the help you give.

  • Is my location shared?

    Your location is only shared with the hero who accepts your request, for as long as the request is active. You can cancel a request at any time.
