How does matching work?

You add your car and what you're looking for. Shifta looks for reciprocal matches, people who want what you have and have what you want, and ranks them by how well both sides fit.

What if the cars aren't worth the same?

Shifta shows market-based values for both cars and the estimated difference. You and your match agree how to settle it, usually with cash from the person getting the more valuable car.

How do I know the other car and owner are legit?

Verified vehicles and owners are marked in the app, and you can review VIN, title status and history records before agreeing anything. We still recommend an independent pre-purchase inspection.

Does Shifta handle the paperwork?

Shifta guides you through the steps, but title transfer, registration, taxes and insurance are handled by you and your match under your local rules. Check what's required where you live before you swap.

How do I stay safe meeting up?

Keep conversations in the app, meet in a public place during the day, bring a friend, and never hand over keys or title until both sides are ready. Shifta's meetup guidance walks you through it.
