Pitstop Hero Privacy Policy

1.Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Pitstop Hero, operated by Spota Labs, Inc., collects, uses, stores, and protects your information. It is designed to be clear, transparent, and respectful of your privacy.

It covers the Pitstop Hero app only. The SpotaLabs website and each of our other apps have their own privacy policies.

2.Information We Collect

Account Info:

• Email address
• Username / display name
• Profile photo (optional)

Request Data:

• The problem, your description and photos
• Your vehicle and the request's status

Location Data:

• Precise location when you request help
• For Heroes: location while available and during an active job

Hero Verification:

• Identity and background check information, processed by our verification partner with your consent
• The skills and gear you list

Payments:

• Bounty payments and Hero payout details (we never receive your full card number)

Ratings & Messages:

• Ratings, notes, in-app messages and safety reports

Usage Data:

• App actions (e.g. features used, screens viewed)
• Device info (e.g. device model, OS version, app version)
• Crash reports and performance data
• IP address and timestamps (for security)

Purchases:

• Subscription status from Apple or Google (we never receive your full card details)

Pitstop Hero does not sell your personal data.

We only share limited data with:

• Cloud hosting, storage and authentication providers
• Analytics and crash reporting tools
• Apple and Google, for subscriptions purchased through their stores
• Background check and identity verification providers
• Payment processors (e.g. Stripe)
• Mapping providers
• Moderation services (if needed)
• Authorities, when required by law or to protect the safety of our users or the public

We never share your location with third parties for advertising or profiling.

What other users can see:

• Before accepting, nearby Heroes see the type of request and its approximate location
• The Hero who accepts sees your first name, profile photo, vehicle, the problem, and your precise location until the request ends
• Drivers you help see your first name, profile photo, rating, verification status, and live location and ETA while you're on the way
• Ratings and notes you leave

5.Location & Device Permissions

• Your precise location is used when you request help, to find nearby Heroes and guide your Hero to you
• Your location is only shared with the Hero who accepts your request, for as long as the request is active
• If you're a Hero and allow it, your location is used in the background while you're marked as available and during an active job
• We never track you in the background without explicit permission
• Camera - to add photos of the problem to a request
• Photos - to add existing photos to a request
• Notifications - to send request updates, arrival updates, and new requests to Heroes

You can change permissions at any time in your device settings. Some features won't work without them.

6.Data Retention

• Basic account data is stored until your account is deleted
• Request, bounty and payout records are kept for as long as the law requires
• Safety reports and background check results are kept where the law requires it or to protect the community
• Request for data deletion can be made in the app or via email: privacy@spotalabs.app. See Delete Your Data for details

7.Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access or export your data
• Request corrections or deletion
• Withdraw consent for certain types of data use
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data (we don't sell or share it for advertising)
• File a complaint with a regulatory authority

8.Children

Pitstop Hero is not intended for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact privacy@spotalabs.app and we'll delete it.

9.Cookies & Tracking

• Pitstop Hero may use essential storage on your device for login sessions and security
• No third-party ad trackers or behavioral ads are used at this time
• We don't track you across other companies' apps and websites

10.Security Practices

• Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and stored securely
• Access to personal data is restricted to the people who need it
• Moderation tools are in place to protect users from abuse
