Your Right to Data Deletion

1.Your Rights

Under various privacy laws including GDPR, CCPA, and other data protection regulations, you have the right to request deletion of your personal data. This includes:

  • Right to Erasure - Request deletion of your personal information
  • Right to Data Portability - Export your data before deletion
  • Right to Withdraw Consent - Stop data processing you previously consented to

These rights apply regardless of your location, though specific legal protections may vary by jurisdiction.

2.What Gets Deleted

When you request data deletion, we will permanently remove:

  • Vehicle Data - Car profiles, modification history, garage information
  • User Content - Photos, videos, posts, and media you uploaded
  • Location History - All location data and live session records
  • Usage Analytics - App usage patterns and interaction data
  • Spot Submissions - Photos and videos you submitted of other cars
  • XP and Achievements - Points, badges, and leaderboard positions
  • Communication Data - Messages, comments, and social interactions

3.What We Keep

For legal, safety, and operational reasons, we may retain certain information:

  • Legal Compliance - Data required by law (e.g., tax records, fraud prevention)
  • Safety Records - Information related to safety violations or abuse reports
  • Anonymized Data - Aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics
  • Backup Systems - Data in secure backups (automatically purged within 30 days)
  • Third-Party Content - Media you submitted that others have claimed or used

We will never use retained data for marketing or commercial purposes.

4.How to Request Deletion

5.Account Deletion vs Data Deletion

It's important to understand the difference:

Account Deactivation:

  • Your content remains visible to other users
  • Data is not permanently removed

Complete Data Deletion:

  • Permanently removes all your personal data
  • Cannot be undone or reversed
  • Your content is removed from the platform
  • Account cannot be recovered

6.Processing Timeline

We process deletion requests as follows:

  • Immediate - Account access is disabled within 24 hours
  • 7 Days - Primary data deletion from active systems
  • 30 Days - Complete removal from all backup systems
  • 90 Days - Final verification and audit of deletion

You will receive email confirmations at each stage of the deletion process.

7.Verification Process

To protect your privacy and prevent unauthorized deletions, we verify requests by:

  • Email Confirmation - Sending a verification link to your registered email
  • Account Access - Confirming you can log into the account
  • Identity Verification - For sensitive requests, we may request additional verification
  • Cooling Period - 48-hour waiting period for complete deletion requests

This process helps prevent accidental or malicious account deletions.

8.Data Export

Before deletion, you can request a copy of your data:

  • Complete Export - All your data in JSON/CSV format
  • Media Files - Download your photos and videos
  • Profile Data - Vehicle information and modification history
  • Activity Logs - Your usage history and interactions

Export requests are processed within 7 days and provided via secure download link.

9.Third-Party Data
